I am a Real Estate Agent - not practicing because as soon as my house sells I'm moving to California.  The best Real Estate Agency in Wisconsin is Shorewest - I worked out of the Kenosha office.  Their training and support are amazing.  They send you to 2 week intense training - teach you everything you need to know, then you have in office training as well.  Each office has a few mentors for you to shadow and they will bend over backwards to help you out.  There are so many out there that plop you in office, charge you rent, have crap splits and are cut throat.  I suggest taking some time and interviewing a few places you might be interested in - that's what I did.   Good luck and I hope the market turns around by time you are finished with your license!!

I just finished school, I graduated with my Associates of Applied Science. My degree is in Business with an emphasis in Real Estate. I was going to just go through an agency and take classes here and there but I decided on a two year program that gave an actual degree. After my first semester (16 weeks) I'd taken Real Estate Fundamentals and Law and was able to test for my Real Estate sales licencse which I happily passed. I put off my Broker's class til my last semester so I received my certification to test for that recently. I graduated with honors and am MORE than happy that I went the longer route rather than just an 8 week course. I was actually referred to the school by a Century 21 agent. If you are not interested in a degree I would suggest that you work for one of the following in this order:

Shorewest
First Weber
Century 21

Good Luck!!
