Hello Peeps!

Heeeeelllllllooooooooo Some of my old Wisc. peeps and to the new ones!!!

Those who say life gets busy after surgery aren't kidding!  I just wanted to drop in and say hello and see how everyone is doing.  Its must easier than trying to respond to each and every message in my in box  :-)

Hmmm... as for me... 6 months post op and down 90 lbs. I still struggle with being motivated to do exercise, but I do try.  BUT in all fairness... I work 2 jobs right now (I picked up another to help out with the Christmas crunch!)  So working 70-80 hours a week combined leaves me EXHAUSTED, and what little time I do have I prefer to spend with the kids and family instead of on the treadmill (can you blame me?? hehe)  I did post some new pics...feel free to look at them if you wish.

As for the 'wow' moments... You know, I can honestly say I have only had ONE.  Don't get me wrong, I notice different things, like my flexibility, being able to tie my shoes comfortably, personal hygiene is easier, pants size has dropped from 26 to an 18 with a belt.. but I have only had one moment that made me go WOW and made me realize how much I had lost.    The first Packer game of the season we went to The Bar in Green Bay, just blocks down from the stadium.  We like to go there if we don't have tix to the game because of the festivities and excitement.  We went last year too.  Well I hopped up into a chair (which was surprisingly comfy). I crossed my legs and started to wriggle in my seat. I was REALLY comfy and I knew I was dreadfully uncomfortable last year. Hmmmmm I thought. I started taking inventory of The Bar to see if they had new tables or furniture.  No... hmm.. nothing looked any different.  What the heck?  OMG.. it was ME!  That was the first time it ever really hit me... and good Lord it took me about 5 minutes to figure it out!  All of the other things that I notice are very nice.. but to have a real WOW is very exciting.

Anyway gang.. I hope you hear from you and all your progress!!!!!

Hugs to all
Deez

Heloooow Busy one : ) You look great. Nice pictures. Your face and everything has gotten so slim. Good job. The chair deal was a wow moment. Moments like that are so nice and sometimes you just have to pinch yourself. Don't be a stranger. Update us more often. It's always nice and fun to read your posts : )

WOW....You are doing so good! You look great! I have lost 80# since my highest weight in June of 2007. I have 2 jobs but no little kids at home just a 17yr old and a husband so I can make time for an hour of exercise everyday. I work full-time(40hours) and a part-time job at Kohl's(20hours max). Just had an appt with Dustin(exercise guy) and he said I am doing great! I am down to 33% body fat since surgery. I went from a 20/22 size pants to a current size 10 and somedays those feel a little loose. :)

Just keep doing what your doing and you will get to your goal.
P.S....Are you going to the Bariatric Christmas party? See you at support group! :)

Debbie!!!!  OMIGOSH... a 10????  You rock girl! That is awesome!   Um.. Dustin huh? Um... errr... welll.. I haven't exactly seen him since my 6 week post op.  I know when I do go in that I'll probably be due for a tongue lashing... deservedly so.

I fully intend on going to the Xmas gathering. Thanks for reminding me.. I have to RSVP my acceptance.  I hope to make it to the next support grp.. wait.. is that this next week? Yup... the 19th... and I have off work!  Woooo.  My 2nd job is at Gordmans.. dunno if you are familiar with it.. but it is just like Kohls.  You can't go wrong with the employee discount  :-)

I will have to be sure to go to the meeting early enough to get a chair... that has become quite a busy meeting to attend!  You know.. the first time I went to that meeting was for my pre op required meeting and there was only 8 of us there!

Ok.. time fo rme to drop my kiddo's off at school.  See you soon!!

Hi all..
Kohl's is great when they have their clearance racks and alot of size 6's left : ) I have never been able to shop clearance before. I bought a cart full of summer clothes about 3 weeks ago and spend under $100. I got sun dresses and capris' for under  $4 bucks. There were so many size 6's left to choose from I felt so lucky. In the past I never could find anything  clearance in the 22/24 size. My how life has changed for me for us!

Hi Denise...Yes I know about Gordman's. My daughter loves loves that store. The discounts at Kohl's are awesome! I am going to the Christmas party too. I WILL be at the support group on Wed Nov 19th. I see Dustin every 8 weeks. My next appt with Dustin is Sat Jan 17th at 9:30am. I get so much out of his exercises. I can't believe that I am in a size 10 myself. I still wear some 12 and 14 with a belt of course cause I don't want to buy all new yet. I think I have a ways to go with my weight loss yet anyway. :) Talk to you soon. Have a great weekend! :)
