Hey neighbors!!!

HELLO FELLOW CHEESEHEADS!!
I AM NEW TO THIS GROUP AND LOOK FORWARD TO CHATTING WITH SOMEWHAT CLOSER TO HOME PEOPLE!! MY NAME IS JESSICA.I AM PROSPECTIVLY LOOKING TO GETTING THE LAP BAND PROCEDURE DONE.
I HAVE  ATTENDED THE SEMINAR, HAD THE APPT WITH THE NUTRIONIST,AND THE PSYCHOLOGIST.  I AM AWAITING A CALL TO SET UP AN APPT WITH DR THOMAS CHUA THE SURGEON. THIS WAITNG GAME IS MAKING ME BECOME VERY ANXIOUS. I JUST WONDER HOW I AM GOING TO BE IF AND WHEN I GET A SURGERY DATE. JUST CURIOUS AS IS ANYONE WHO HAS HAD HIM IN THE PAST AS TO HOW LONG IT TOOK BEFORE YOU HAD SURGERY FROM THE FIRST TIME YOU SAW HIM. I KNOW EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT BUT JUST A ROUGH IDEA FROM EVERONE WOULD BE NICE.

Hi and welcome!!!

   I had Doctor Chua. he did my surgery 1 year ago. After the months of seeing the nutrionist ( Deanna ) and having my psych eval I got to meet with Dr. Chua. After I met with him they submitted my paperwork to the Insurance company and i waited for approval. I was approed within 72 hours and had surgery 11 days later.  So from my meeting with Dr. Chua to the day I was in the O.R was lestt then 3 weeks. It was AWESOME!!!!   
Were you at last Weds. support group meeting at Sinai? Make sure to attend those. They WILL look at that and see how serious you are about this. Don't blow off the meetings. It's importand now and will be more important post op.
Many great Lap band success stories with Dr. Chua. You'll get some good info.
