Hi Wisconsin
I'm new to this site and I live in Southern Wisconsin. I am still in the process of getting all of my ducks in a row for Anthem BCBS PPO. I have been overweight most of my life and I was looking into WLS years ago but never proceeded. My daughter had WLS in July and this sparked my interest again. Just found this site and I have found a lot of interesting info here.
No, my daughter's insurance is in Illinois, so she had to go to Illinois. She is doing awesome and is looking even more beutiful everyday. I'm looking to have a RNY, I had my psych appt today, that was interesting. I am seeing the nutritionist and I see an exercise "guru" next week. I'm not quite sure what her title is. But I feel that I'm on the right road. So how have you done, I see you are a year out from your surgery.

I live in Pleasant Prairie, which is right by Kenosha. I am hoping for surgery in
February or March also. It feels like things don't happen quick enough.
It sounds like you are well on your way too.

Hi..
I live in Oak Creek. Close to you. I had RNY 1 year ago and have lost about 115 lbs. I feel great. Went from a sz 22/24 to a size 6/8. Yes, I have plateaued. I'm o.k with that though. I work out alot and have gained muscle. At my 1 year post exam I'm only 26 % fat and my BMI is only 22. That's awesome for me.
The prosess seems slow at first but before you know it you'll be in the o.r. Sit tight and it will happen. Good luck along the way to both of you and keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Char! I live in Southern WI as well (Walworth - but grew up near Chicago) and have traveled thru your town plenty going to Kenosha for shopping! This is a great site with great info (I find myself on it even when I should be doing other things! ) Anyways, I am two months into my supervised diet and the next two weeks will be going through most of my pre-op tests. Good luck with your journey and keep us posted! I am hoping to get VSG, but have a feeling that I will have to fight to get it. I hope I don't have to fight too hard! Take care!
