Hi All..
We're going to the state fair tomorrow. I use to love going and eating my through it. A little here and a little there. All my favorites, maple sundeas, cheese curds, Saz's barbecue snadwich. Now I'm wondering what I'll be eating tomorrow. Should be interesting. I know I'll find something but sometimes new foods out in public worry me. Never know how it will efect me and if I'll become sick.
Any suggestions to good food findings at the fair this year for us post ops?
Thanks
Shari

Have a blast! Don't worry about the food too much. If you're going with a group, switch off and have one person buy and everyone try! That way you can sample a bunch without the guilt or possibly sickness.  I was so bummed to see the news that the turey leg was considered the unhealthiest of the fair!  There's just something fun about walking around with a big old leg in your fist!  Wish I were there!  Since fracturing my fibula, I added a broken toe to it all this morning, so I'm not doing much walking at all!  I'm am getting some pretty impressive arm pit muscles from the crutches!

I went to the WI valley fair, but since I am still on pureed food, I didn't get to eat anything. It was torturous. I ended up taking my crystal light with me as well as a pack of baby food bananas to eat. I would suggest staying away from the real sugary items (yeah sucks doesn't it) and watch for those that are supper greasy. I know one of the cheese curd places were super greasy and my sister got sick from it and they hadn't had the surgery. Good luck and have fun.
