Hello!!! Ok need some help!

This is off topic to WLS but hubby and I are gonna be visiting Appleton and Green Bay, WI on MONDAY! YEAH!!! We need a vacation so bad!  Staying in appleton.  Any good suggestions on things to do or places to visit?!?! I would love any feedback you can give me, thank sooooo much! I went to college in Green Bay. If you are football fans, I recommend going to The Hall of Fame at Lambeau Field. If you like to gamble, there is the Onieda Nation Casino and Bingo. We also enjoyed  going for a picnic at Bay Beach. It is right on the water, and they have a few amusement rides, like the ferris wheel, tilt a whirl etc.  In Appleton, my hubby and I liked the Houdini Museum.

Shopping at the Fox Valley Mall in Appleton : )  Or go 20 Mins. South to Oshkosh to the EAA museum if you like planes oh yeah and more shopping at the Oshkosh Outlet Mall.

In Appleton we don't have much! We do have the Timber Rattlers, a minor leaue baseball team, if you are interested in a day outside :-)

I have to agree with the shopping at the Fox River Mall (or the outlet mall in Oshkosh!).

Also, are you football fans?  Not only is the Packer hall of Fame at Lambeau Field, but also tours of Lambeau... they take your through locker rooms, offices and onto Lambeau.  I don't remember the days you said you were coming up this way.. but Packer trainin camp starts at the end of the month.  They train outside of the Don Hudson Center (directly accross from Lambeau Field).  If you go, then get their early and mark your spot on the bleachers with a blanket...... if you snooze... you'll lose and end up standing!  The left side of the field is more offensive practice and the right side is where the defensive practice is located.  *** can you tell I have been to a few of these? Go Pack!)  I'm just jacked that football season is around the corner!

Like I said before, I don't remember when you said you were going to be up this way... but about 45 min north of  Green Bay there is a hog wrestling festival this weekend.  There are pretty much festivals every weekend if you are interested in some live music.

Anyway... I hope you enjoy your mini vaca!

We had a great time and I love your city! So much to do compared to my small town of 2000 people lol. We did go to green bay packer stadium (not really football fans but loved it anyways.. we are native to KC so the chiefs are more up our alley but like I said really liked that!) then we went shopping at both of the places you mentioned.  Did some touring of downtown appleton - houdini museum, lots of latte drinking, trying different foods.. ugh I got so sick on some things but it was worth it lol.  Then we did some cheese factory stuff, paperfest to see boogie and the yoyo's (they come to clear lake iowa all the time so we know them well!) we had a great time, thanks for all the suggestions!!!!!
