Anyone have DR.Matthew Johnson in Green Bay
I know that this is late, but for anyone else's sake I felt compelled to write. Dr. Johnson was in Wausau during this time. I am a widow because of this man. He hurried through my husband's surgery (I know because the next patient's family were in the same waiting room as I was). Two days after his surgery my husband suffered a stroke that could have been avoided. The next surgery he had was an emergency due to a bowel obstruction from the bariatric surgery. That much more competent surgeon( Dr. Thomas Geocaris of Green Bay) also removed his gallbladder then, which should have been removed at the initial surgery but wasn't because Johnson was running late. There were many more complications, infections and surgeries, pain and suffering until my husband died. I would avoid Dr. Johnson at all costs. Good luck, Sally.
Hi
I have nothing but GOOD things to say about Dr Johnson.
He and his staff have been very good. My surgery went fine. I had it done July of 08. I would do it again and have Dr Johnson do it.
Two days after surgery I went to the ER because I was not feeling well. Dr came to the ER to see if I was ok when he found out I was there. He order the test Just to make sure there was no leaks. Which there wasn't I was just dehydrated, and the pain that I was feeling went away.
Good Luck on your surgery.

In Wisconsin anyone considering bypass should pursue it through Midwest Bariatric Solutions. They are located within Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah and are a Center of Excellence for the Gold Standard of bypass surgery which is RNY. Dr.'s Georgan and Wasco are the best of the best, leaving not ONE detail out of the process. They have one of the most comprehensive pre-surgery preparation programs and their after-care programs are phenominal. Their continuum of care including: 12 appts for follow-up with a bariatric dietician, 12 appts with a bariatric exercise trainer, 24-hour contact with a live person, support groups, cooking classes - offers more than any one hospital I've researched. It just goes on...they don't miss a beat! I had Dr. Wasco and he was awesome!
Hello,
I'm also a Dr. Johnson patient, in Green Bay. I'm very sorry for those of you who had bad experiences. Nothing can take away your losses. My sympathy.
I have been extremely happy with Dr. Johnson. I met him 9 months before surgery, went through the nutritional and other counseling, went back with my husband for another visit, did a pre-op appt., had surgery, and have had two post-op appts. I have been pleased with how things have been going. HIS NURSE, KIM, IS AWESOME, too. Hope it helps others to know. k
