Plastic Surgery
I had a belt lipectomy by my bariatric surgeon, Dr. Chua. Even though he doesn't bill himself as a plastic's person, I am totally happy with how I look now! You can see my pictures, even the scar one a couple weeks after surgery. I'm also in a picture in my bikini with almost no visible line! I'm considering having him do my thighs too!
Good for you guys! I'm so excited about my breast reduction! I should be a lot further with this, but I had my first surgeon screw things up for me! and I had to have a revision. But the first surgeon wouldn't do it so I had to find another one. But I'm just excited to have all that behind me and moving on! My Dr. said she could do it for me, however, after we were talking I think I need a lower body lift so I went to see Dr. Bonness! She's nice I like her.
Glad things are going well for you ladies!
There were some problems with my breast reduction and I still need a revision. I'm appealing to have that done with my arms so it can all be done during surgery while I'm knocked out. She could do it in her office surgery, but that's not my first choice
Our skin is different due to all the stretching, etc, and it doesn't always heal like it should. One of mine had more tissue death than expected and the insurance company won't cover an anestesiologist for a revision. She's covering everything else. They said they paid for the medical necessity, anything else is cosmetic and they won't pay for anything else related to it
Insurance companies: gotta love 'em

I have had extensive reconstructive surgery by Dr David Janssen in Oshkosh. He is wonderful! He has a beautiful facility, a wonderful staff and he is absolutely great. He is kind, he listens to and answers all of your questions, he never makes you feel like he is rushed. He spends a lot of time going over things with you. Best of all, my scars are not in any area that is easily noticeable. When he did an arm lift, I told him that a friend of mine just had an arm lift done and the scar was all the way down her upper arm. He said I would have a small scar in the underarm area, and that is all I have. It is about 1 1/2 inches long and it can hardly be seen. He said if anyone has a scar that noticeable it was done by a "plastic surgeon wanna be". He is great. You would love him. I have never heard one bad thing about him. He is a great surgeon and genuinely a kind person.

Hi Laura: You would have to check with your insurance Company. I am sure they all have different criteria. Some of mine was paid - others I paid for out of pocket. Dr Janssen's office is probably the most organized and efficient office I have ever worked with on walking me through this process.
If you don't mind me asking, how far did the skin on your upper arm extend? Whether or not you're able to use the under the arm technique depends on how much skin you have to remove, not necessarily the skill of the surgeon. It *is* great that you found a surgeon who will take the time to answer all of your questions without making you feel rushed. There aren't a whole lot of doctors who will do that.
