Reconstructive Surgery
Has anyone started looking into this yet? I'm scheduled for a pre-op visit on May 13 with Dr. Kathleen Meyer in Marshfield. On May 19 I'm having a panniculectomy. I'm really nervous about it. I've been to the main board and have a lot of questions. There's so much to think about! I've recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, so there's that and all the pain meds, summer, climbing stairs and a snuggly 4 year old mama's boy to consider.
She did a breast reduction for me a couple of years ago and we're trying to get my arms approved, too. She wants to do a revision to the breasts with the arms, but right now the insurance company won't approve them. She's appealing and I wrote a four page appeal last night, so we'll see where that gets us.
My RNY was in 2001. I started at 386 and I'm 170 now. Every time I've gone to the next step I've always been sent to Marshfield so that's where I'm going now, even though I'm closer to Eau Claire.
My insurance is BadgerCare with Group Health.
Any suggestions, questions or comments?
I am starting out on my plastic journey now. I'm starting with my breast reduction. I am having mine on July 2nd with Dr. Michelle Bonness in Waukesha. My cousin had her for her reconstruction of her breasts after she had breast cancer. I really like her!
