So whether we are pre or post op we all have goals.  Ok.. I know we all of the goal of being healthy.  But what I wanna know is, what is or was your first goal that you were looking forward to??   I'll start it out.. I am really looking forward to crossing my legs and going on a roller coaster ride at 6 Flags this summer and FIT in the roller coaster seat! Oh..I have wayyyy more goals that that.. probably to many to list.. but those are just two silly small ones that I am really looking forward to!

Hey Denise! Oh the list is endless isn't it? Yes, I have my serious health goals but on the other end of the spectrum...how about being able to fit my formally pudgy feet into a pair (or several pairs) of cute summer sandals? Fitting into a booth at a diner (even if I'm just eating cottage cheese), squeezing into the back seat with two other people, etc. My ultimate "I know I've made it when..." goal is - looking down and not seeing my stomach in the way! I'll jump for joy that day!!

I remember my goals were to stop hurting (legs, ankles, back, knees, etc) and to shop in the misses sizes!  I used to work retail and I would hold up a size 14 and say to my friends "I would be the happiest person on earth if I fit in this!"  Well, now a size 8 - 10 is where I'm at and thrilled beyond belief!  Can't believe it's been almost 4 years!!!

oooooohhhh.... 4 years out?!  Congrats on maintaining! I have heard a lot of sad stories of people that have gained half back   How areyou feeling? What are your struggles?   A size 8-10 is fantastic!!!!    I love cloths but have always put off shopping because it just didn't put me in a good mood. Know what I mean?  Yes.. I definately plan on becoming a fashion ***** after I hit goal!! LOL

I feel fantastic!  I did gain about 10-15 lbs back from my lowest weight, but at 6'2 and 162 lbs, I was too thin.  But that was almost 2 years ago when i was also running about 30-40 miles a week.  Now I run, but I also bike and do other stuff like triathlons.  This year I'm doing it all! I'm doing some 5 & 10K runs, a duathlon, 3 or 4 triathlons a half marathon and possibly a full marathon!  It's really fun to see what my new body can take! Even with a heart condition that was recently discovered, I'm ready to hit the streets (without ice and snow)! My biggest struggles are keeping myself hydrated enough with all the activity I do, and keeping my protein high enough to maintain my stamina and muscle. I've been up-ing the amount of protein I take in a supplement so I don't get too low!

O.k I'm going to be naughty. However,  you did ask Denise : )  My goal is to have sex with the ligts on and feel good about myself.  This is one of many many other goals some of which I've achieved already. Shari

I didn't really have any goals aside from getting off my cholesterol meds...which I have.  I  bought and put on a bathing suit for the first time in 15 years and wasn't embarrassed...does that count?

That's a great ? Denise!  Um, mine main goal was to help my asthma out, I'll never out-grow my asthma, but the less weight I carry the easier it will be to breath, lol.   The others, well the same as all you, I want to buy clothes and not feel depressed about them, and not be pulling at my shirts 24/7!  I want to sit in a seat and not worry about my hips taking up the two seats next to me, I DEFINETLY want to have sex w/ the lights on and wear all the cute LITTLE things I used to (that now wouldn't cover one thigh, lol)... my biggest, I want to be able to get pregnant and not be high risk because of my weight and know I'll be around for my children's lives!!!
