Ikagram.... here are the support dates I promised you...

so guess what I did?  On Saturday I got my happy a$$ ready and headed to Theda... b/c I am required to attend atleast one support group while I am pre  op. No biggy..and its a funky schedule..and my weekdays are always so busy .. I decided to go on Saturday. Well they only offer one saturday meeting..and it is on the third Saturday of the month at 9:30 am. So I woke up early Saturday and got my house in order, took a shower, did my hair and make up.. and breezed out the door. I get to Theda and pull out my paperwork to doublt check the conference room...and it said "if a meeting is scheduled near a Holiday please call to see if the meeting is still scheduled"  Um.. ok.. the next day was Easter.. and some consider it a holiday while others do not. But there was no phone number to call to check on the support group. So I head off inside and the lady there had no idea what I was jabbering about and gave me a number to call.  I stepped outside and the number was for Surgical Associates. Needless to say i was forwarded to the answering service. I explained my situation to them, ,hoping that they are updated on the support group meeting stuff.  Well apparently they are not updated on these types of things. Then she offered to call the doctor on call to see if he knows. Ohhhh hellllllll no. I haven't even met my surgeon yet, and I'll be damned if you are going to call and interrupt him on his holiday weekend for a support group question I'm sure he has NO idea about. So anyway... I make my way back across the parking lot to my car and looked at the papers again to see if I missed the phone number. Thats when I saw it...... no support grp meeting that day.  *sigh*  The REASON there was no support group wasn't because of the Holiday tho.. it was because this last saturday was the FOURTH saturday of the month and not the THIRD. WTF was I thinking? Hahaha..I'm sucha dork!!!   Sooooo I was all dressed up with no where to go. Do you know what a bummer that is?  Soooo it was off to get a manicure and a pedicure for me!   Anyway... I will be attending this Thursday. This month they are doing the topic of Head hunger and how to deal. It is the last meeting of the month.  Below is a list of dates and times for you. march 27, 5pm, appleton Medical Center (Topic Head Hunger) April (topic Who's tha tlooking back at me in the mirror? Believng in the new your) 7th 5pm ...Theda 16th 6pm... AMC 18th 9:30  am Theda 21st 5 pm Theda 24th 5 pm AMC Let me know if you plan on going to any of them and I can tell you the room location! Just got an email from Elaine ~~ They are finally going to start the insurance approval process.  By the time I have to have this other proceedure done they should have approval.  I have 2 I need approval from Medicare and Medicaid.  So don't know how long all that will take.  Now I am starting to get excited!! I will go to the two support groups at Theda on Monday nights @ 5 pm.  I just live 6/10 of a mile from the hospital. That will get another check on my checklist and I have been on the preop diet for 6 months.  So I am done with that.  But they told me to keep going to Lori.   Thanks for the info Hope you had a Great Easter

very cool  :-)  Be sure to ask them if they have a sheet that they can sign off on if you were there (this is required so you can show them that it was actually done).  also, don't forget its 10 a meeting.  The meetings at Theda are on the 4th floor Alyward conference room.  Good luck with approval!! thanks for the info and the positive thoughts ~~ That is another reason I need to wait til April to go to the meetings.  I get my check on the 3rd.

You are so funny.  Let me know how the group goes.  Maybe I will drive over there for that one.  Will have to see.  This head hunger is terrible, although it is much better today.  Just because I feel full and have not really felt that until today.
