Hello everyone.  I am new to the site, as a poster anyway.  I have been logging on and reading for about 7 months and finally had surgery on the 17th with Dr. Wasco in Neenah.  All is well, after forgetting about the first two days.  Trying to survive on jello and broth.   Just thought that I would introduce myself! Hey Kristine, Happy to meet you and welcome!!  I have my surg with Dr. Wasco on April 28.  The surg was schedule in Feb. and it got pushed out to April cuz he is on vacation..pffffft...I should tell him that vacations are over rated!!  How was your experience at Theda?   How are you feeling with everything post op... now that you are on the losers bench?? Denise

Hey Denise! Thanks for the welcome!  My experience at Theda was great.  I actually spent very little time talking with the Dr. because I felt that I had done so much research that I did not have many questions.  My surgery went very fast apparently.  For the first two days I seriously questioned what I did, but things are much better.  I am feeling tired of the broth and jello and am feeling what I guess they call "head hunger" pretty badly but other than that all is well. On Thursday, before the snow storm, I actually went for about a 35 minute walk and felt great. Sorry about the delay in your surgery but it will come fast!

Hey Denise, I was not perfect with the pre-op diet.   I cheated.  I had a hysterectomy in January and kind of thought I was just going to forget about having this done so I went off the diet then.  I did try and follow it most of the time once I decided to go throught with it, but had a few things that I probably should not have.  Did lose about 11 pounds though so that was good. Thanks for the info!!  I don't plan on sabotaging myself..but I didn't want to be one of those who freaks if she screws up.   What city are you in? Denise
