My boys are going to be with their Dad...so it will only be Tate home and she's three.  We'll go to my parents for her easter egg hunt and dinner.  Nothing too exciting.  You?

We aren't doing anything too exciting either. My kids are with their Dad as well so that free's up all of our plans. Dan's mom has been calling non stop tho.. she is trying to get us to come up for Easter. We would love to go, because she is elderly (83 almost 84...yeah.. Dan was a BIG Oopsie in her late 40s!! LOL)  but here is the thing, she lives in Upper Michigan. No big deal, its about a 4 hour trip, and we could do that with no problem. All of his brothers and sisters are up there too, we are the only ones who have to travel, but I have to be back by 6:30 pm so I can pick up the kids in Oshkosh. Knowing this, does she plan a 1:00 afternoon meal? No. She plans a 6:00 evening meal. Why? I don't know. When Dan asked her, and explained the situation she said "this is how we have always done it"  Ok.. thats FINE.. I completely get that! But the guilt trip and the constant calls to get us to get up there just has to stop then.  Technially my kids are "too old" for baskets... but I still do it for them, every year. There are just some things I can't let go of  :-)  But I did ask them this year if we could do with out. I'm a SUCKER for chocolate. *sigh*  And chocolate just isn't on the pre-op diet!!! lol

ahhhh...gotta love the MIL's eh? I've been very good about the Easter chocolate that's parked on top of my fridge.  I almost got into it today...how sick is that?  Knowing what it will do to me and I was still thinking about it...damn chocolate bunnies anyways!

Just taking it easy. Going to a friends to relax and watch the basketball tourney tonight, attending my sister-in-law's confirmation tomorrow, and just hanging out on Easter Sunday. It might be a "sin" but I don't think we're even cooking a Ham (oohhh nooo).
