Waiting....
I did my 6 months of supervised diet, psych eval, and informational semminar now I'm waiting.
I was told at the end of my diet visits it would be 2 weeks.
2 weeks seems like forever, but I made it. 2 weeks on Thursday.
How long must I wait? After 3 years of researching I jsut want to be able to say..... I HAVE A DATE!!
But no.... I'm stuck here - still waiting.

Who told you that it would only take 2 weeks? Insurance has 30 days to approve/deny any pre-auth or claim. Typically speaking there is an answer in about 2 weeks...but there are variables...such as if the insurance needed to request more information. (FYI.. I work at a health insurance company so I know a little bit about the process). I would start off by calling the insurance to see if they have received a Pre-auth. When ever you deal with insurance document document document!! You can be 100% sure they document like crazy! Write down the name of the person you talked to (and get their first initial of their last name if possible) along with the date and time, and also what they told you. Save this information, you never know when it will come in handy or when you will need to reference it. Are you sure you completed EVERYTHING that is required per your plan policy?
I understand your anticipation and excitment!! I was there myself.. then denied.. and then I was there again in the appeal process (then approved!!!!). I finally got my date two weeks ago.
Good luck and if you need anything we are here for you!! Let us know what happens!!!!
I had found out everything that my insurance required back in July when I started the serious run towards this.
The doctor told me it would be 2 weeks until I knew a date.
So I guess my lunch break on Monday will be spent making some phone calls.
