Hello my fellow Wisconsinites, In November I began my journey with WLS.  My doctor and the medical center he works with have asked me to do a blog documenting my experience.  I just finished my 6 months of doctor supervised appointments and should be submitting to insurance soon.  What I am asking is for anyone here to take a look at the blog.  Needless to say, I am new to this and I would welcome any input from the members here.  I can only promise one thing, what you read will be 100% honest and from the heart of a man who is struggling with his weight.  I don't see this blog as an advertisment for the hospital or surgeon.  I am not being compensated for it.  It is simply to document my experience hopefully for the benefit of others.  I would really appreciate your feedback.  Thanks again, Here's the link,  http://www.froedtert.com/HealthResources/ReadingRoom/HealthB logs/HappyFatGuy/ ps - I also promise that there will be no discussion of a certain quarterback retiring.  As much as it bums me out, I just can't find a way that it is related to my WLS.

I completely enjoyed reading your blog.  You are 100% correct, it is the day to day struggles that people who do not have a weight problem probably never thing about. Such as walking through a crowd and wondering if you are going to squeeze between those two people standing so close. Will you be able to fit into........any seat comfortably? How much longer do I have before the seatbelt no longer fits around me? Will they charge me extra at the airport? Can this picture be taken of me with out my double chin peeking through? Can I wear this shirt with out everyone seeing my 'fat rolls'? Can I go to a grocery store or restuarant with out someone thinking that is the last place I need to be, because OBVIOUSLY I'm not starving. The questions that we ask ourselve on a daily basis are endless. Good luck to you with your continued journey. Its a long bumpy road, but like so many others, you will definately enjoy the ride and the destination once it has been acheived :-) I fully intend to work a certain retired QB into conversation. I new the time was close, and I new it would happen soon, however the announcement was sad and almost caused me to sway from the pre-op diet and do a little emotioanl eating as I watched his very sincere press conference :-) Denise
