Looking for place to get fills

Hi all! This is kind of a long story, but bare with me. I had my Lap Band surgery in June  06 in Madison, WI at UW. My surgeon was one of the Docs from UW Health. The surgery went, but there were problems with my fills. For some reason when fills were being done by either the surgeon or the nurse practitioner they didn't always go in. Last April I had a fill which supposedly filled by 4cc band up to 3.75cc. I still could eat a lot and had little restriction. In nearly a year with all those fills, including moderate exercise and following nutrition guideline most of the time I only lost only 25lbs.  Two months later I moved to Tokyo, Japan for 6 months and found a Dr. to see there (by referral from another OH member). The first time I saw him he checked to see the amount of fluid in my band. Realizing that not all the fluid can be withdrawn, he found my band only had about 2cc of fluid, not the 3.75cc that Madison thought they had put in. My Japanese Dr started giving fills under fluoroscopy verses the hunt and find method that Madison uses and for the first time I felt restriction. At a little over 3cc I could hardly eat and really had to stay on program. I lost 15lbs in 3 months. Then it came time for my husband and I to move back to Wisconsin. A week before we came home I found out I was pregnant and my Dr recommended having my band emptied, so it was. I'm about 5 months along now and expecting twins. I had to change to a high risk pregnancy Dr because of the twins. In a recent visit he was asking me all about my surgery and such. This made me think ahead to after I stop breastfeeding and want to start losing weight again I don't want to have to go back to Madison. I live in LaCrosse, WI, over on the western border of the state. Does anyone know of another place I can go to get fills? I've been doing some internet research, but can't seem to find anything. Please help.

Pre-op weight 298, a year later holding at 278. Down from a size 22 to a 20, but still need help.

I have had a wonderful experience with the staff at UW. Since you went there so long ago, maybe some of the staff have changed. Both Gretchen and Dr. Garren have done my fills (5) and they never have to poke around--one tiny shot for a painkiller and then one poke from the big needle. We have ten patients from UW in our Illinois support group and everyone has been thrilled with UW. Hope you give them another consideration.
