Ill be 5 hours from surgery feb 19th at 730 a.m. Ill be having my Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy  Im SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited

Dr wasco is my dr too.  Why is he doing the VSG~~ he mentioned it to me too??

various reasons, failed then removed lapband, unable to do RNY. this is my choice also because its alsot less invasive than rny . when will you have surgery??

No clue. Dr Groh failed me on my psych eval.  I just went to my counslor today and she didn't understand why either.  I am taking therapy with her and with a group of WLS candidate in Chris Matula's class.   That is suppose to end March 6 and then I am suppose to be re evaluated.   I was just approved this last week for Medicaid in addition to Medicare and UHC.  So not sure how many hoops they will make me jump through I have done some research on the RNY vs VSG  supposedly there is no dumping syndrome with the VSG but you do not lose as much weight with the RNY as fast but you keep it off longer.. I told him I wanted the RNY cause every time I put something in my mouth I not suppose to I want to get sicker than a dog.  But the Rny you put the weight back on after a while.   So  now I am not sure
