Hi everyone in Wisconsin,  I am 14 or so weeks out and I've lost 69 lbs but I haven't lost but 2 lbs in the last 19 days and I know why, I am having problems with nighttime snacking and not exercising as usually and just like I was pre-op.  I see myself getting back to my old ways and failing this surgery that has been very hard but easy compared to some.  I wrote in my journal on Fitday.com this morning that I am going to get a handle on this TODAY no excuses whatsoever and that’s that!  But I've said this before again and again and again pre-op and post-op.  I know a lot of what I am going thru is mental and I plan on making an appointment to see a physiologist to see why I want to control things in my life even when they are bad for me.  But if there is anything anyone of you can help me with or maybe you've gone thru the same thing and come out of it please help.....Thanks Pam

Hi Pam,  Your body does go through starts and stops like that as it adjusts to your new eating habits.  However, realizing that you are reverting to your old habits is key.  when you embarked on this surgical decision, you also had to make the decision to change EVERYTHING you previously used in your eating/exercise habits. You need to gain control and get back to basics.  Whenever I feel the need to snack, I figure out what EXACTLY I am hungry for.  Then, I tell myself that I can have that snack in 10 or 15 minutes.  Most times, I forget that I was hungry and the feeling passes.  Don't confuse hunger with thirst.  Talk to your psychologist or dietician also for tips.  The scale will move again!  Have faith! I see you're from Franklin,WI.I come down to Muskego often,I stay on Big Muskego Lake,Franklin is right next door. The reason Franklin stood out is my daughter got a ticket in Fanklin fa few weeks ago for throwing a cigarette butt out the window! We were pulled over where there was trash all over the grass along side the road.We were coming from Sams Club, next time you go by take notice you'll see what I mean, trash everywhere!! It cost her $104 because it was the police officers pet peeve.I was so tempted to spend hours picking up butts and putting them in his driveway LOL.Just helping him with his pet peeve problem.I wonder how much I would have been fined for spitting my gum out on the lawn at  the police station! It's just my luck, you're probably his wife!!

No I'm not his wife not by a long shot.  My son as gotten his share and then some of tickets in Franklin they are a little ticket happy here they have to keep the city running you know LOL.  Like my taxes of almost $10,000.00 were not enough butt heads...Greendale is even worse don't get a ticket there they will not do a damn thing but Franklin will.  I don't know if he also took points off of her license but if he did you can call an attorney and for a $75 fee but you'll still have to pay the fine they will get rid of the points violation that may help somewhat anyway...Have a good one...Pam
