Cost of Psychiatric Evaluation out of pocket?

I'm new to this website and have had my initial consultation for Lap-Band surgery. Can anyone give me an idea of what a psychiatric evaluation for bariatric surgery would cost me out of pocket in the Milwaukee, WI area? Just looking for a general idea of what it would set me back if I choose to see a doctor not on my insurer's prefered provider list. Thanks! Jitterrzz

I had mine in Kenosha and it ran me 375.00 for the whole thing whi*****luded 2 visits and a phone consult. Best of luck to you!

Are you sure your Insurance won't cover it? I have United Healthcare UMR and it was covered. Good Luck. I would use someone in your plan. Does your place of Employment have an EAP program?? ( Employee Assistance program ) If they do you can have one visit free through that program.

      Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

I was self pay and went to my psych out of network (becuase my surgeon is out of network) and insurance still paid part of it......I think it was around the $250ish range before insurance.
