hello,  Checking to see if anyone has used Dr. kevin Wasco, or his partner Dr. Raymond Georgen thru Theda Clark in Neenah, WI.  and if so what were your experiences. I am pre-op, hoping to have surgery end of Oct. or early Nov. Thanks for any responses.

thank you so much for your reply. I had Dr. Groh and also Lori.  I am just waiting for insurance approval now. Then hopefully very soon I will have the pre-op stuff. Not looking forward to the gall bladder ultra sound, I had one a few years ago and boy did that hurt, especially on the rib area.

I had Dr. Georgen- loved him. No complaints. I knew I was in excellent hands because he has an extensive surgical history. Very supportive and kind!

thank you for your reply. I'm not sure which Dr. I will end up with yet. I just had met Dr. Wasco at the info seminar. Was not really able to form much of an opinion on him from just that.

I had the lap banding surgery done by Dr Wasco awhile ago.  I had to have it removed because he said it slipped and my stomach prolapsed over it.  I thought at the the time that I must be really unusual because I hadn't heard of people having things like this go wrong.  That wasn't so bad because  he kept promising that "they stand behind their work" and that he will do a conversion down the road.  After 2 years of jumping through hoops for him he began accusing me of all sorts of things  such as I was offensive to his office staff (which I was not, I rarely had dealings with his office staff), that he wanted another opinion, etc.  What is came down to, and to quote one of his local collegues is that "I am not one of his success stories , and therefore he doesn't  want to even hear my name".  A local physician told me that and told me that's how he is.  He is never going to fix the problem (and I have had problems since the removal of the lap band), and he doesn't care.  He has since terminated our Doctor/patient relationship because he said he couldn't work under the pressure I was putting on him (I guess calling and wanting resolution is too stressful for him).  I have also been told that when a physician takes steps to terminate the Doctor/Patient relationship it is very much so frowned down upon in the medical profession.  I have told many physicians my story and few can hardly believe it.  If I didn't have all the paperwork to back it up, they wouldn't belive it.  If he was so intimidated by this situation one has to ask themself - what is he afraid of and what is he running from?  If you can get Dr Georgeon -  go for it!  He is a class act!  If you're stuck with Wasco - RUN THE OTHER WAY!  I would hate to see anyone go through what I have gone through.  Do you ever read any of the blogs on this website of people who have had problems with their lap band?  What is the one common denominator?  DR WASCO!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am really sorry to hear about all these problems you had and are still having. You have given me some things to think about. Best wishes to you on getting some resolutions to your problems.
