Just Starting

Afternoon All - am thinking of having WLS - kinda scary.  I would prefer the Lap Band, but my husband's insurance won't cover that, but might cover Gastric Bypass.  My insurance which is an HMO will not cover either.  I have done a lifetime on damage to my body and hope it can still be repaired.  As I age, I realize this extra weight is harder to carry around and just makes me tired.  I feel guilty that I can't control my eating and my weight.  I will be contacting the Dr's this week for an appt and see what happens. 

Hope all goes well on your journey. I had to self pay because our insurance wouldn't pay either. Lucky for me, after months of research I found a fabulous doctor in Texas. It was definately worth the trip. In fact, when I need a fill on my band, I still fly down to Texas for it because my surgeon is so fantastic!!!
