I recently posted a topic in the Insurance Help forum and need some extra help. Joely was so kind to reply but here's the deal ... I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (of course I live in WI hehe) ... I have no insurance or have any way to pay out of pocket for surgery. Are there any private insurance companies that are affordable that do cover Gastric Bypass .. WITHOUT the pre-existing wait time? Please help a girl out with any information.

Nikki, I am in the same "boat" as you. I also live in Wisconsin (just outside of Milwaukee) and my health insurance excludes all treatment for Obesity, yes, even Morbid Obesity. I have been looking for the same options as you. If anyone can help us, I'd certainly appreciate the help.

Hello, I was in the same situation as you. I went to the bariactric institue of wisconsin. They are AWESOME and more affordable that others I looked at. I took out a home equaity loan. If you are close to a parent as them if they can take out a loan for you and you pay it.

Hi..    I work for Aurora healthcare. The Insurance they have for Emplyees covers the surgery 100%  Not sure what you guys all do for a living but Aurora has 100's off facilities, hospitals, clinics. labs etc... throughout the state. Get online and fill out an application for employment. www.Aurora.org You are eligable after 90 days of employment for benefits.  The Insurance is United Health care UMR. I know Sinai alone where I work has many entry level jobs as well as nursing, therapy, lab etc... Worth the money to check it out. Even if you have to deliver food trays to patients for 6 months to have your surgery it will pay off. Just some ideas : )   Shari
