NEW & EXCITED!

I FINALLY TOOK MY FIRST STEP TOWARDS A HEALTHIER ME. I WENT TO THE BARIATRIC SURGERY INFORMATIONAL SESSION LAST NIGHT (8/1) AT AURORA SINAI IN MILWAUKEE. DR.THOMAS CHUA & HIS ASSOCIATES WERE SO INFORMATIVE. & DELIGHTFUL. IT TOOK YEARS FOR ME TO SAY "ENOUGH". EXCITEMENT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

 Hi...    I went to Dr. Chua's seminar back in June and have been in the process of getting the ball rolling ever since. .  His staff is super. I'm suprised at how long it takes to actually have the surgery once the initial Seminar and Psych visit is completed. I'm looking at early Oct. That kind of is a bummer but I understand it's a process. I have United Healthcare insurance through Aurora. i work at Sinai. What insurance to you have? Good Luck. Maybe I'll run into you. SHARI, WOW! I ALSO WORK AT SINAI & YES HAVE THE SAME INSURANCE AS YOU. DR. CHUA'S STAFF ARE ALL INDEED VERY NICE .WHEN I CALLED THE INSUANCE COMPANY, THEY SOUNDED VERY ENCOURAGING. MY FAMILY DOCTOR IS ON VACATION,  BUT WILL RETURN SHORTLY.  SHE HAS EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SO IT SHOULD GO ALRIGHT, I PRAY. WILL YOU BE ATTENDING THE SUPPORT GROUP THAT THEY HAVE ON AUGUST 15TH AT 6 P.M. Hi Marsha,   How funny. We both work at Sinai. It sounds as though they have no problem getting approval from Dr. Chua with United Health Care.  I can't attend the support meeting Aug. 16th. I'll be out of town. What department do you work in? I work in Neonatal  ICU on the 2nd floor. Been there 20 years.  I also was set on the Lap Band but now I'm leaning towards the Lap RNY. Knowing myself and my eating habits this is something that will work for me. I'm still torn and will talk more to the doc.  Have you had your psych eval or Nutrition?
