So I went for my second visit with my PMD for my 3 month MD supervised diet yesterday.  I lost a whopping 3 lbs....that always happens when I exercise alot.  Oh well.. We just talked for a bit and he ordered the blood work that I need and said keep up the good work and I'll see you next month.  He was very pleased that I'd quit smoking. I also had my appt. with the exercise physiologist for my eval yesterday.  I had to get measured all over, did a body fat scale and a fit test.  I did extremely well on the fit test...she seemed surprised.  I just kind of looked at her and said 'well I wasn't lying on my exercise log.  I've done it for YEARS' LOL Anyways...I have my psych eval on the 9th of August and it's a 2 visit thing.  Then I finish up with my PMD the end of Sept. and I'm hoping for a late October surgery.  This is such an incredibly long, trying, expensive progress.  I'm trying to keep my eye on the prize and know that it's for the best.  My husband tells me to not worry about the money..but EVERYTHING pre-op is out of pocket for me...and my insurance requires alot.  Just when we started getting out of debt...but this is good debt right? Hope everyones well!

Oh goodness...all those hoops to jump thru. It will be worth it to get to the final pocedure though.  My insurance would not pay for any kind of WLS  ...so ended up self paying. Alot less hoops to jump thru but more expensive. Well worth it though already for how much better I am feeling. And I still have a long way to go to get to a healthy weight. But so worth it!! Good luck to you! Cathy
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
