Another Setback

Hi All,  I am writing to get the cruddy news off my chest.  My surgeon called yesterday - yes 6 days before my scheduled surgery to tell me that we are delayed due to administrative issues.   I don't feel I need to get into the details - but it boils down to being in this Pilot program and some of the surgery details.  I could be delayed a couple days or a couple weeks.  I am on chronic hold.   I am super frustrated - just because I was so mentally "there"  - ready for it all  not to mention having my personal life lined up (care for the kids, an extra hand for me), work - no one was planning on working with me for the month of June - now some people get less than 4 days notice that I am coming - when they usually have 3 weeks notice.  So I am just frustrated. This too will pass - and I am sure there is a reason in God's master plan - but I still needed a little vent room.   I will keep you posted.  Thanks for listening! Lori

ahhhh.. Darling.... your day will come!  As you said.. God has a master plan.. and he didn't see you goin' in on the 5th for the surgery. He works in mysterious ways ya know :0) Just think of this time as more time to prepare!  Let us know as soon as you hear of your next planned date! Keep your head up!

Oh my Lord Lori!  I'm SOOOOOOOOOO sorry to hear this!  I can't believe they did this to you! Is there another hospital you could go to?  I know surgery wouldn't be in six days, but at least you would know that they can handle the administrative issues that may arise.   I would be SOOOOO angry.  ...we put our lives on hold essentially to do this.   I will be praying   that things will work out for the best for you, whether it be at that program or another. You vent ALL YOU WANT TO!!!!!

Thanks so much for your kind words of support.     One thing this has shown me is that there are many people who care about me.  All of the people at work who are inconvenienced gladly said yes to help me out.  My extended family all kept their open invitation to help out with the kids - no matter how short the notice.  You all offered words of encouragement.
