Hi Billie Jo! I just wanted to welcome you to the WI OH forum! This is a GREAT site and has wonderful people that will bring friendship and support to you. I am a Pre-op and you are quite an inspiration! 80 lbs in less than seven months!
That is soooo what I am hoping for...I want to be a Loser soooo bad.
Where are you from? I'm on the MN boarder, so I am normally in the MN forum as that is where I will be having my surgery. I hope you enjoy the site and find what you are looking for!
Take care and God Bless-
Pam
Hi Pamela,
Thank You for the warm welcome. I am in Eau Claire , WI. i have been living here the past 10 years but i was born and raised in Duluth, MN . My family still lives there , so i do go there to visit . I am a bit disappointed in myself though . i could have lost more at my stage but i didnt get into an exercise routine . that is my only regret . so if i can offer any advice to any pre ops it would be to get into an exercise routine , drink water , crystal light ect all day , and work hard to get in your protein . at first its impossible but as your pouch heals it gets easier . but im finding that i lose more when i drink more water and consume more protein . The New whey protein vials are great . i can not do the protein powder , yuck yuck . sorry for rambling on and on . gl to you.
Billie Jo
Hey Billie Jo-
Thank you so much for the information. I am actually trying to get my butt up and start walking...it's so hard because I know I will be in pain for a few days afterwards. I drink tons of water and I hope I can continue after the surgery. I don't drink anything bu****er. I got good news today.....I have my surgeon consult and it's already on May 3rd....that's a WEEK away!
I'm sooo excited. One step closer!
Pam
Pamela,
things change after surgery , so dont be suprised. I can not do protein shakes , nor cib (carnation instant breakfast ) , nor powderd milk added to regulr milk for the protein. I just didnt get in my protein in , early after surgery. And I tell ya I hope you are not in love with your hair . Mine is still coming out in gobs . Im taking biotin which is supposed to help with hair loss. Who knowns, it culd be worse. I had to order more but I do the new whey protein vials ( a.K.A profect) 25 grams of protein or 42 grams of protein, just remember our bodies can only process 25 grams at a time. I do prefer the 42 gram ones I just split it up during the day. Those do have calories . I dont think they would sit well in the pouch at first , they are a bit thick (thicker than water) . But as soon as you can. But there again some people cant do them .
