Looks like I'm gaining weight again. My partner doesn't seem to think it's a big deal and maybe it isn't. I just can't seem to get this last twenty pounds off. It's frustrating. But...I am down to a size ten. Maybe I should just think of it as a shift from fat to muscle. Not sure. 218/208/135/119 4'11"

A Size 10?????????????? Girl, I would be SOOOOOOOOOO happy to be a size 10! I know when you have a number in your head, you really want to achieve it, but maybe your body has decided that that is the best size for it. Think about where you came from and where you are. Celebrate that success! I'm proud of you.....it's awesome to hear of a success like this. Very encouraging to me. I'm waiting for approval at this point and can't wait to be where you are. Be happy! Dear Sheryl: Just want to let you know that I understand completely. I am only 6 months out, but am a SLOW loser like you. It is really easier said than done, but I am SOOOO trying to remember how far I have come, as opposed to how far I have yet to go...... You have done well, and come so far. Try to keep that in mind and not stress too much about it. And yes, muscle DOES weigh more than fat. Have a great day! Dawn

Hi Just keep your chin up and watch your portion sizes and go back to the protein 1st rule. The carbs are what does it for me. Size 10 is great and keep in mind how far you have come. Exercise and watch what you eat. How are your clothes fitting ? Sometimes you can not go by what the scale is saying. You know what I mean? Best of luck to you

Hi Sheryl, i too am short (4' 9" ) so i know what you are going through. i too am at a plateau in my weght loss journey , but know its not over . you just have to kick start you system. what i do is i will increase my water as much as possible. up the protein and calories for about 2 days . then i restrict my calories but keep up on the water and protein . and throw in a bit of work on the treadmill. it may work for you it may not . gl . or sometimes i will go back to basics. and do a liquid diet for a day or 2 , then soft foods and so on .
