Wausau surgeons??

Hello. I am VERY new at all of this. I've just started researching everything this week, although I have a very dear friend that is about 8 months out, so I have alot of first hand information. I called Dr. Alden's office in Wausau today to make a consult appt. I was told they were sending me papers to fill out about my diet and such. Once I send them back then someone will call me to make an appt. Has anyone here had their surgery done in Wausau? If so, what doctor did you have? How long was your process? Thanks!!! Tara

Hi Tara, I have not had the surgery done yet, however, I am in the process of the 6 month diet that my insurance requires (actually in month 5). I found Dr. Alden/Weiland's office rather difficult to deal with so I chose to go thru Dr. Johnson who works out of Marshfield Clinic. He does his surgeries @ the new St. Clares hospital in Weston and I do all of my pre-op stuff with the nutritionist at Marshfield Clinic Wausau center by Aspirus Hospital. To get an appointment with Dr. Johnson, I just had my primary care physician call over a referral to Dr. Johnson. The staff there is awesome, so if you have questions about the process just give them a call. Also, if you are interested, there is a support group meeting on Monday nite April 2nd at the Marshfield Clinic Wausau Center. It is a great place to get a ton of info.
