The Appleton Post-Crescent newspaper is doing a series of articles following the surgery of my son-in-law, who happens to be the largest patient by weight ever to undergo laparoscopic surgery at Theda Clark. Here is a link to the article. He has had no complications so far, he just suffers from the "foamies" at times. I can keep you all updated if you like. http://www.postcrescent.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070325/APC04/703250551/1002&locat ed=FLASH

One of my co-workers this morning asked if I saw the article. I had missed it but looked it up on line. Keep us posted I'd like to know how he's doing. I had Dr. Wasco as a primary but Dr. Georgen also did my surgery. Personally I think they are all great at MWB. I'm 8 months out and still get the foamies. Good luck to him. Missy

Great article! I'm glad your son-in law is doing so well so far! Dr Wasco was my surgeon...I just love him...can't say enough good things about him and his staff...only met Dr G. during the seminar. But the whole bariatric team there seems like they really care about how the patients succeed. I'm SO glad I went there.

My SIL is doing very well, has lost 160 pounds so far with very little complications. He was having frothing issues everytime he ate something solid, he finally listened to me and had an endoscopy done, they expanded his stoma and viola' now he can eat with no problems! He is now one happy boy!
