Hi Everyone I work at a hospital in wisconsin that does lapband and doesnt cover it for there employees. I Know I was outragged myself. Please does anyone have advice for me I am desprate to lose weight I am 314 and rising, I am also a poor nursing student Help!! Danielle

I guess I would start by checking if any other hosiptals in your network could do it and have it covered. Also, find out if the insurance would cover it at all, even at another hospital or day surgical center. The surgical centers are great! My doctor even did my belt lipectomy at one! Admittedly, it was a first for him, but he does the bands at day surgery centers with no problem! It's only a 45 minute procedure. You may also want to talk to your HR person and ask them.
