I have been making rapid steps towards surgery lately, but if you ask me they can't be rapid enough. I saw the nutritionist on Friday the 9th and I see the phsyc tomorrow and can only hope it goes as good as the last appointment. The nutritionist said she has only passed on 3 people after the first appointment with her and I am one. Say a prayer the same is said tomorrow. Then my name will go up for the board on Thursday and I will know in about 7 days when my pre-op test are and its all down hill from there. My insurance said they will approve me in 24-48 hours forsure because my BMI is so high. It all sounds to good to be true. I know I have alot of hard work ahead of me but I am ready for it. Does anyone have any imput on Dr. Chua at Aurora Sinia in Milwaukee? I have already met him and he seams nice.

Sorry I don't know anything about your doctor or hospital. I just wanted to tell you good luck with your appointments. You will get a surgery date soon and then it's on to the losers bench! Cheryl

Hi Amy, I've known Dr. Chua and his whole team for about 2 1/2 years. In May it will be 3 years post op for me. I had the VBG done by Dr. Chua at Sinai and couldn't have been more satisfied. I am one of the speakers giving my testimonial for the seminars now. He is truly a wonderful man and his staff is equally as caring. I was happy with Sinai hospital. The people there were great. Some people wrote comments of how noisy it may have been or being woken up so many times. I was just so thankful to be there, had the surgery with very little pain, and understand that the nurses and staff have a job to do as well. I found them all to be very pleasant. I would do it all over in a heartbeat! Although it seems like a lot of hoops to jump through to do this procedure, Dr. Chua and his team will not let you down. They do all these extra steps so that you are prepared for everything! Other doctors and places that I investigated were more of the "treat 'em and street 'em" plans. I knew when I went to those seminars that I would be nothing more than a paycheck. You'll be taken very good care of by Dr.'s Chua, Tan, Rudic, or whomever you see for surgery and aftercare. They are all wonderful! If you want to read about my experiences, go to my profile and read about my journey! I'd be happy to help you with any questions or concerns you have along the way as well! Good Luck! Lois Winkel
