Profect

Hi.... Recently had the RNY surgery on 11/28/2006, lost 65 lbs so far. Being told that I need protien, protien, PROTIEN... Can anyone give me thier prospective or advice concering "Profect". They advertise 25 mg of protien per 2.9 fl oz. Thanks... Webelieve (George)

Hi George, I just got some samples of profect but I'm waiting to try them until I have my surg (good job on your loss!! was it rough over the holidays??) I'll let you know what I find out. I do know that I LOVE ProComplex proteins (sweetened with splenda). The Rocky Road is my favorite, but it has 55 mg of protein in 2 scoops. It really dissolves easily and tastes so good! I just got a bunch of individually wrapped protein samples from bariatriceating.com so I don't buy something I can't stand. Also, I buy my ProComplex from Advantage Supplements on e bay - they have great prices and it comes from an actual store (everything is brand-new and sealed). Good luck! Cindy

Hi Cindy, Thanks for the responce to my question on Profect. The holidays were tough, but with the support from church and my fabulous wife things went smoothly. Have you had your surgery yet? My surgery was done in Eau Claire, WI by a Dr. Timothy Pitchford, real caring and such. I had better luck with my insurance than yours from the sounds of it, my out of pocket for the surgery was under a $1,000. But this isn't about me right now its about you and the help and friendship that can be gained from fellow RNY recipient. Do you have the url's to the web locations for ProComplex and ebay?
