darn insurance

Has anyone with security health and a BMI under 40 been approved? I went to see the surgeon today and he said he didn't think my insurance would approve me cause my BMI is to low and my comobidities aren't serious enough. This makes me angry cause I did everything they asked of me. I lost a few pounds but not what I probably should have. I've seen people approved with barely any health problems, and here I am with enough comobidities for 5 people and I'm probably going to be denied. My surgeon said they would still submit the paperwork the Insurance expects but he just wanted me to be prepared. Ugh!! Please if any one has tips or advise, my ears are open.
