Still Waiting On Insurance....Warning...minor whiny venting...

*Sighs* I was approved for surgery by the Bariatric Team at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield on November 2nd, my stuff was sent in, and I'm still waiting on Medical Assistance for the Approval/Denial. I can understand now how everyone says they are losing it when they are playing the waiting game. At least before things get turned in, you're busy with your 6 month diet, things like that....now....it's nothing....I can't go and get any of the pre-op type testing done until I'm approved, I'm certainly not going to buy a bucket load of samples and all the little bunches of things we need to have for right after surgery until I'm approved.... I try to think of other things.....but then I also take time to read up on things and catch the stuff I've missed, refresh my memory about a variety of WLS topics, and go over the eating plans. They had thought I had a good chance of having my surgery yet this year, but I think it's going to end up being a birthday present instead of a Christmas present. It's odd how, now, all the sudden, my body seems to have given up on me. My knees, ankles, and back keep "going out" on me. It's like it's a mutiny...."we're done holding you up!!! we can't take it anymore!!!" One joint or area will get better then another will quit on the job. It's just weird. Sorry this was so long, but no one in my family is really happy about me having the surgery...it scares them...so I don't vent on them because I don't want to stress them out anymore than they already are. If you've read this far, thanx for listening.... Bliss....... ~Shan~

Hi Shannon - I feel your body! Haha Mine is doing the same thing! I have osteoarthritis in my lower back - which I finally figured out to not make hurt and now just had both knees fixed - I had torn ligaments in both knees and arthritis! Ugh My DR wrote a recommendation to my insurance company so I'm anxious to see what happens. Think positive - keep us posted! Take care!! Wendy
