PRE-OP testing

hi - how much testing do they do? i just had a knee surgery and am going to have the other knee fixed next week, will any of those tests count? my dr. has been recommending me for 2 years to do the gastric bypass and my insurance covers 5 different types of wls so i can't wait. how quick can i get it pushed through with the testing and with medica insurance? my daughter has graduation in late may 07 - does anyone think that i will be done with the surgery and feeling good by then? i also have the chance to go to england also next summer - will that be a risky chance?

Once you have your six months of supervised weight loss done and your paper work is submitted for approval, it can go quickly. It just depends on how far you are now. I have now officially started my two week liquid diet my surgeon requires, and let me tell you, it is tough. I feel like I am starving all the time. I am eating a lot of popsicles and jello. Anyways, happy turkey day to anyone who can eat. Eat some for me!
