I have been looking forward to this surgery for so long, and i know it is what i need to do for my health etc, but now that i have a date, i am kinda freaking out a little bit. I am having thoughts of doubting that i will be able to do all the things i need to do before and after surgery! I am sure the doubt and scariness is pretty normal, i just hope i get over it all and can realax before the day of surgery!

oh really wow, it is always so good to hear from others going through the same thing ya know, i have a fiance' and he is great with everything, but just not the same, so i have been on the site alot trying to calm my nerves down!...I guess it is just natural and we will get through it, but I did get a suggestion from another to set up little mini errands for yourself everyday, i think that is a awesome idea to get through these 2 weeks but belive me if i get any more ideas i will keep you posted hehe!....oh and congrats on everything so far soon you and i will be HUGE losers, never thought that would be a good thing hehe!

Congratulations! I'd love to give you words of advise to ease the nervousness, but honestly, when I got my date, I was obsessed! I marked it off on the calender every day, checked postings on message boards every day, etc. The one thing I found to help pass the time and make me feel more ready and accomplished, was this: Every day leading up to the date, I had something "important" to do on the calender. Most wasn't that important, but it was fun anyway. One day I had to get 3 magazines to take to the hospital. Another day I had to shop for cute panties for after surgery. I also had more important things like pick out my "going home" clothes that were loose fitting, and slip on. Or have some meals ready in the freezer for my husband to eat, get my protein shake mixes, & that kind of stuff. It kept me occupied and made the days seem to come quicker! Good luck and I'll be watching for your post op news!
