So happy and scared all at the same time!!!

As you can tell My surgery date is Friday this is my second date due to a sinus infection on my first date. I am really happy and excited because I have a condition that may only be cured by weight loss (PTC/IIH). I have been living with it for a year now and I am ready to get back to living again or what I should say is living better than before and feeling better. It has been a long road to get here and Friday can't come soon enough but I hope the feeling of being happy, excited, scared, nervous and all the other feelings that are popping up are normal. I really ready for my new life to begin and I can't wait for the first time I can go for a bike ride or roller blading with my daughter or just do anything with her and keep up. Did anyone else have all these feelings popping up??

I totally understand what you are feeling. I am expecting a date within the next few weeks. Have insurance approval and everything is ready. It is definitely a roller-coaster ride of emotions we go thru. :o)

I have a date October 24 and I know just how your feeling. A friend said to me yesterday at the office. "Are you real nervous?" "I said "Sure, I'm nervous, they are re-routing my insides permanently, but I think I am prepared" I think that is what this site does to help us. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted! I am having mine done at Bellin. Tom Geocaris is the surgeon. I think the part that really scares me is the surgery word itself. I am ready for the life change. Best of luck on yours too. My thoughts will be with you. Lori
