HI I am new to this site, I am in the process of the steps to prepare for the surgery. I wanted to know if anyone has Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance? The reason I am asking this question is because I have to go through a whole year of diet history with my primary physician. I stared in Jan 2006 so I am almost done, Yahoo!! I just wanted to know if anyone knows how long it took to be approved for surgery after all paperwork was submitted. Getting a little nervous now, excited but a bit nervous too. Hi Kristie. I don't have BCBS, but just wanted to say hi. In my case, I was approved within 7 working days after BIW submitted my paperwork. But that was Humana. We have the same surgeon, Dr. E., who's a honey! Good luck with the rest of your diet requirement and hope you get a date soon. I'm a little over 10 months out and doing great, -133 lbs and normal BMI! Kathy
