Update
I have good news and bad news. First the good news. I had my six-month follow-up on Monday. My surgeon was very pleased. He said I am well above of the average curve for his patients. That made me feel good and have a little hope. The nutritionists says I need to get more protein and take my calcium. The bad news? When I got on the scale this morning I had gained a pound since my last weigh-in a week ago. Bleah. I'm having fun trying on skirts that were in the basement. So far, so good.
How are you doing today?

Congratulations on the good news! As for the bad news, not so bad! My severely warped friends (love 'em to death!) have a funny saying, "Just one good poop, and it all evens out in the end!" I've been there many times with that 1 dangling pound. Don't sweat it. But if you choose to sweat it, do what I did to get myself off the plateau's as I hit them - Every day for 1 week, I committed to drinking 8 oz. of water before every meal and snack (water is good anyway), and whenever I sat down to watch television at night, do some kind of exercise during the commercials! I still do this because it's only 2 minutes at a time! It broke my plateaus everytime! Good luck and keep up the good work! Soon, all of us beautiful people will rule the world!

Sheryl, Its good to talk with someone who most recently had the surgery. I am pre-op waiting for insurance approval. this waiting is hard. I know my life will change suddenly, some good some bad, but I just want to get on with my new life. I am glad of your progress and I cannot wait til I am on the losing side.
