Thanks Jeanna, just curious, when were you able to resume normal activity? I know the office recommends 6-8 weeks but I just can't see bieng cooped up for more than a month!

Jessica, I also had surgery with Dr. Wallace. I had it on 2/14/06 and traveled out of town one week later. I stayed in the hospital two days and was up and walking on the treadmill on day three. I never took any pain medication after I was released from Froedtert. I did however take the full six weeks off---I had the time. It worked out for the best because you will need to relearn how to eat. Everyone experience is different, but Dr. Wallace is great. I hope you have a successful journey. Thanks Tasha, congrats on your success! May I ask what sites did you reference for your background and theme of your website? Just trying to spice mine up a little, thanks!

Hi! I dont have photos yet, but I had LAP RNY with Dr. Wallace and Dr. Nuttleman on May 11th 2006. I took 6 weeks off and if you can do it, it is worth it. Once you are off pain meds, you can drive so you dont have to stay cooped up in the house, but like others have said, you really to get to relearn how to eat, and drink. And even though I felt good, I got tired easily for awile, so it was nice to be able to have some down time. Anyway, Good luck and you are in excellent hands. Julia B. LAP RNY Dr. Wallace 337/269
