Really in need of support group!

Hello Everyone, I am Christina and I had the gastric bypass RNY back on 5/16/2006. It was a flawless surgery and I think there are some days that I feel kind of alone. I am really looking for a support group just to see what is everyone doing, am I "on track" etc. I live in Watertown, but work in Brookfield. I am willing to travel a little bit. If anyone knows of a good support group please let me know. I was going to go to the one at Froedert Medical Center, but I couldn't find it the 2 times I was there. Hi Christina. I'm a member of the Milw WLS Support Group. It is a city wide group, not affiliated with any one hospital so everyone is welcome. We have members from preop to almost 5 years postop and from just about every program in the Milw area. We meet once a month on the last Sat of the month at 9AM in Brookfield on North Ave and have a very active message board in Yahoo Groups. You are very welcome to check us out and join us. Christina, the Froedtert support groups are held at the Wisconsin Athletic Club on 87th Watertown Plank road. It's confusing because it's the "Froedtert Community Conference Room-" but located at the WAC. They are held once a month and I hear they are very effective! Hope this helps you! Jessica

Hi. If you are willing to drive to Madison, our next support group meeting is on October 9th at 6:30-8:00 and the topic is post-op follow up. It is held at the Dean Clinic on the far west side of Madison. If you are interested, let me know and I'll get you some better directions. Good luck!
