NORTHEAST WISCONSIN FOLKS COME HERE PLEASE
Hi. Sorry I'm in the Appleton Area, however Midwest Bariatrics just sent my paper work into the insurance last week. The only thing I'm aware of is the support groups for MWB.
How did everything go for you for the surgery? Did the doctors and hospital meet your expectations? I'm getting really nervious, to the point of possibly changing my mind. I guess i just want to know things will be ok.
Any input would be great.

Jenni.....
I knew about the group at bay. I go most of the time. we are trying to get more to come. also we are looking for any gatherings close by, or people to come to our group and speak.
youre so close, come and join us soon. they may be changing the location as bay is going ot start charging for the room & we dont charge dues or anything so there is no $$ to pay for a room. we have a few good leads so should be ok.
Im really glad to meet a fellow yooper and one so close. I have a good friend here in esky that has has RNY with Dr. Kemmerling, but she also likes meeting new people. maybe this summer we can meet up somewhere for a bite.......... litterally ...LOL
feel free to email me anytime Jenni.

Hi...from Green Bay.
There are several support groups in the U.P. that I am aware of. There is one in Escanaba, and Iron Mt, Newberry, and Marquette. I am a bariatric coordinator but also a patient (4 yrs post RNY). The surgeon I work for (also was my bariatric surgeon) is very interested in helping keep support groups alive and well. We go up to support groups, if there is a request, just to discuss long term follow up and to answer questions. It is vital long term to stay linked with support. Also check out chapter meetings (on this website) to find local support.
Our support group once a year hosts a bariatric ball for all support groups in the surrounding area. It's been a fun event. Already we have core group planning next year's event. The important thing is to realize that you are not alone, and we are all in this togather.
Take care,
Mary E
