I am scheduled for the DS on Oct 8th at Madigan. The Pathway contacts I have are
Pam Birgenheir 253-968-3408
Irene 253-968-3640
I don't know about changes to the pathway. I can tell you what mine entailed...I went to the seminar in March, attended 2 nutrition classes and a occupational therapy class, food journal for 30 days upon completion of classes which was in June, then I was scheduled to see the surgeon to decide on a WLS and get a surgery date. Good luck to you. I hope you are able to begin your pathway soon

Topic: Info for Madigan
I was scheduled for surgery Oct. 23, 2009. It did not happen, At the time I explained my cir****tances to the lady in charge, I think her name was also Pam, she understood and said I could come back anytime just call her.
I no longer have any of that information and I understand that there have been a few changes.
If someone could help me out with numbers and names I would really appreciate it.
Thank You

Topic: RE: I need some input on Birth control please
I'm still pre-op, but I have had an IUD for 3.5 years--and before that I had one for 5 years. I had the first one removed so we could have a baby and then PROMPTLY had it replaced after he was born!
I have the Paragard and I love it because there are no hormones and nothing to think about on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
It is definitely uncomfortable getting it put in, but totally worth it after about 2 days of moderate cramping.
My husband has never indicated that he can feel it.

Thank you for the response, I was looking into the IUD as well. I have heard the same thing about the pill and I'm still a little hesitant about it. I also heard the IUD can be unpleasant for the male in some cases? Either way all the feed back on this topic is welcome. Thanks bunches.
