Topic: RE: Plastics
hi
If you are on a waiting list at Madigan, for plastics or general surgery,if it is not medically needed, there is a charge for the surgery, any where from $1000 to $4000, to be paid before your surgery happens, also some of the surgeons are deployed, so returning military gets help first, thats why the lists are not moving fast, make sure your info there is up to date , the schedualer there is also new, so the surgery clinic is all messed up,
Obviously we are always the last to know these things,If you are on a list, make sure you keep bugging them, and see if or what you are gonna be charged,,this is new to them too
I am almost 3 years out,had my RGB and breast lift and tummy tuck there,,am very happy with what I got,,also am down 175lbs,
Good luck to everyone

Topic: Ever been to the Seattle Bash and Weight Loss Surgery Conference?
Is anyone attending the 7th Annual Seattle Bash and Weight Loss Surgery Conference this year? I received an invite on Facebook but the reg fee is $105, not sure if carving out the funds for that is really a priority. Has anyone been before?

Topic: RE: Daytime or Weekend Support Groups in the Oly, Puyallup or Lakewood area
Stay tuned! There will be an Olympia area group starting in the near future with 2 newly trained leaders! Just looking for meeting space, etc. etc. I do think it will be in the evening though, as that is when the majority of folks can attend. Watch this forum for more info in the coming month.
Topic: RE: Just moved to Port Orchard - looking for new PCP
Wow, I am not to far from you all either, right off from Jackson from Sedgwick.
Anyway, my input, is the Dr.'s above the Urgent Care in the Harrison Annex here in Port Orchard are GREAT! I have been going there since the PCP's have opened up, and my Dr actually recommended me getting the lapband. They take all kinds of insurances and their number is 360-774-6250
Welcome to this side, and that's just my two cents

Topic: RE: Anyone had Saurabh Khandelwal from UW??
Thanks Kathleen, I knew there had to be people here that had their surgeries there, but no one has spoke up. Thank you for speaking up! After all my knee surgeries, you wouldn't think surgeries bothered me anymore, but I'm just anxious and curious I guess.

I think there were others that were in Olympia too, but no one wanted to be the leader, lol. If there were just a free place to meet, something could be worked out, we need something here.

Hi
I'm in Olympia. I would love to be part of a support group. I am fortunate that I will be going to group health's bariatric group on the 2nd thursdays of each month but I know I could use more support. I could in no way be a group leader because I still have so much to learn and am still just trying to heal. I'll start looking for a place to meet too.
