Topic: RE: depression meds and anxiety
I'm sorry you are having such issues. Depression and anxiety is terrible especially when we don't absorb everything we take in and that includes meds. Perhaps this article will help. Maybe you can bring it to your doctor. I take effexor (venlafaxine) and the absorption according to this study is the same as pre-op. So I don't have problems right now, but the anti-anxiety meds don't work as great.
Note: after clicking on the link you may need to click the button that says "start manual download". It will be a .pdf. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll email you the article.
I hope this helps.

Welcome to the loser's bench! I was able to sleep on my side with a pillow with no problem. Maybe try that or a recliner. I used my pain meds for a couple days at night to help with the pain but by Day 3 I didn't need them anymore. Each day you'll see remarkable improvement!

A friend bought this for her wedding....maid of honor dress. Well, it never happened and the dress has sat in my closet for MANY years. It's time for someone to wear it:)
I delivered 6 weeks early a 5lb 15oz lil boy:) After spending 2 months on bed rest in the hospital and Mason spending 11 days in the NICU, we're both home and doing great! Mason is getting bigger and gaining weight like he should. Now it's my turn to lose this weight! It's tough to get back on the band wagon...I CAN do this!

Hi! My name is Debbie Calloway and I am scheduled for RNY by Dr. Landerholm on Monday March 8, 2010 at Stevens Hospital. Due to the fact that I live in Granite Falls, I plan to begin attending the Monthly Support Group in Marysville on Thursday 3/4/10. See you then!

Hey Jackson!
It doesn't look like this Wa forum gets as much traffic as the RNY surgical forum, so maybe you should cross post it there, as well as maybe the Lap band forum, or any other WLS procedure that Evergreen does, to get some responses, cause I know the peeps are out there! You will get this done, Evergreen, here we come!!!
