Premera Blue Cross and WLS??

I'm a self pay WLS patient, 8 mos post op and doing great. I'm seeking info for a friend. Does anyone out there have Premera Blue Cross, teacher's insurance, state of Washington? How does their policy read? Do they have an exclusion, and also is there a medical necessity clause? Thanks, Karen

I had Premera Blue Cross with WEA, I absolutely had to pay out of pocket. No exceptions!!! No medical neccessity.Not only that, but they will not cover any complications that arise after the surgery that are the result of the surgery. Sorry about the bad news. Kristin
