Any support groups in Yakima County?
Regarding financial support......
If you are asking for yourself, I noticed you are on Medicare. So am I. Medicare pays a good portion of the bill if your providers accept Medicare Assignment. What I did was applied through the hospital for what they call their "Charity Care Program". Based on my income I qualified for a 70% writeoff so my part of the hospital bill went down from $912.00 to $274.00. My dietician consult was hospital based so that also was reduced by 70% to only $50.00. My surgeon does not reduce his fee further as he accepts Medicare Assignment which is already reduced a great deal beyond what he charges for cash pay. All in all my roughly $28,000 surgery is going to cost me less than $1000.00.
Hope this info helps.
