Tom is still in Critical Care

Tom is still the the critical care unit at Virginia Mason Hospital. Laura and I went to visit with Holly today to offer her our support. We weren't able to see Tom but it was really nice to visit with Holly and Tom's mother. Tom is open from his chest all the way down to his abdomen. He is so swollen that they can't close it. Plus he is bleeding from the incision area now so they have decided to limit visitors in to see him to just family and only a couple at a time about every hour. They said that Tom might be put on a dialysis (sp) machine because they kidneys may not be functioning quite right. He is still on a ventilator and is sedated. Holly is holding up pretty well I thought. But she is having trouble getting to and from the hospital since she doesn't drive. Plus she starts back to work on Wednesday. That is going to be really rough for her.
