MAJOR MEDICAL PROBLEMS...PLEASE HELP!!!

I just spoke to Tom's wife Holly on the phone from Virginia Mason Hospital. Tom had his surgery on the 26th of last month. He went home but by the 2nd of September, he was back in the hospital. They said he had a leak. When they opened him up, they found a gallon of infection inside his abdomen. He has undergone a total of 3 surgeries now. He is in the critical care unit at Virginia Mason. Holly said that he has just started having seisures (sp) starting today. He is running a 102 degree fever. He has a breathing tube in which she said he doesn't like and has pulled it out but they continue to put it back in. His white blood count is down today to a 26 which she says a 10 is normal. He has 10 different IV medications running through him right now and he is sedated. Holly says she is suppose to go back to work next Wednesday but doesn't know whats going to happen with that. She said the surgeons just came into see Tom so she had to let me go. She is requesting get well cards be sent to the hospital. She said they talked before he even went into surgery about whether or not he should go through with it. He wanted to do it and reassured her that he would be ok. Well thats sucks big time ..I did have a feeling being he hadn't posted he was having trouble..I sure hope he pulls it all together and makes it... I will keep him in my prayers
