Medicare In Washington???

I have medicare a & b and had my surgery May 2004. I had to pay the surgeons fee of 395.00 out of pocket and that was all I paid. I went to Dr. Simonowitz in Bellevue. He is an excellent surgeon and was there to check on me twice a day. I was at Overlake Hospital - his office is in the same building. I believe he is the Chief of Staff for the hospital. medicare will pay for RECONSTRUCTIVE (don't call it PS) surgery if you have lost over 100 lbs, have skin problems - in other words if medically necessary. I am not to the PS stage yet, so I havent' started asking around yet. Good luck, Kim
